Rich and Ronda Dolan

 As I posted last time, Rich flew back to Cambodia at the end of June.  I arrived in Phnom Penh Tuesday night (July 23rd).  I didn't have any flights cancelled due to the mess in the US, but I did have a delay that caused me to miss my flight out of Korea. It was great to see so many of you when we were in the US!!  It is always wonderful to see our sweet family and friends.   Greg Fleming got into Phnom Penh on Wednesday morning.  Khemrin picked him up at the airport as Rich was giving his final in the History of the Church in Acts.   Tomorrow (Friday the 26th), we will head to Siem Reap for the Asian Mission Forum.  I'll post on that next time.   I will get to our US schedule, but first I wanted to let you know about the Camp Chaam in Thailand.  The theme this year was Face To Face.  It centered on how Biblical people reacted when they came face to face with God and applying those examples to our lives.  Men like Moses, Elijah, Daniel, etc. Rich taught the adult classes on Habakkuk.  The camp from from the night of April 12 through the night of April 15th, with most people leaving the morning of the 16th.   Rich taught each morning for an hour right before lunch.  He got a couple comments on how he was a good one to teach right before lunch, when everyone was getting hungry, because he was easy to listen to. Glome, one of the ministers at the Soi Somprasong 4 congregation in Bangkok was his translator.  This is the congregation that I grew up in. As many of you know, my dad, Loren Hollingsworth, got to meet his Lord face to face on April 7th.  He fought the good fight and he finished the course.  Praise God for His perfect promises! The last blog I wrote said that my parents arrived in Phnom Penh the day before; that was Feb. 1st.  Dad was to teach for 2 weeks at CBI and then just have the other 2 weeks in Cambodia to rest, visit with us, and study for the next classes he was teaching in Thailand when they returned.  God had a better plan. Dad taught the first week at CBI.  Then Saturday, Feb. 10th, he had a series of mini strokes while we were out eating.  He ended up in ICU in Phnom Penh for 4 days and then back at our house for 5 days to make sure he could fly.  The doctor would only let him make the 1 hour flight to Thailand to see doctors there (instead of 30 plus hours of flying back to the US).   Dad, Mom and I came to Bangkok on Feb. 19th.  During the 3 1/2 weeks we were ...

Last Saturday evening, we had a graduation for 11 of our students.  We pray that on top of putting the knowledge of God in their minds, that they keep God in their hearts.  We are excited for this group as they start another phase of their lives.  But we are also sad that we won't get to be a part of their lives everyday. Please keep them in your prayers as they start jobs and make life decision.  So that you can put a face with who your a praying for, here are pictures of each them. This is Somnang.   My sweet husband let me make a trip to the US for the births of our 9th and 10th grandchildren. I arrived in Richmond, Virginia on Nov. 15th.  Lydia Joy Dolan was born on Nov. 11th, so I was just in time for them to get home from the hospital. Of course, I have TONS more pictures than the few that I am putting on here.   I got to enjoy Thanksgiving at Emily's parents house.  Emily's sisters and their families were also there.  Lots of great food and conversation. (For some reason, it won't let me move the pictures up, so there is going to be gaps.  sorry!) Everyone gets a turn at holding Baby Lydia.   We are so blessed.  Reuben and Emily and their kids, Ezra, Micah, Lily and Lydia are all doing well.  It was fun to get to spend some time with them.  I got to eat lunch one day with Ezra at school and got to take each one individual out for a meal and a treat. In the middle of October, we were able to go to Thailand to their Winter Camp.  They had this camp at the same time as a major holiday, Pchum Bunh, in Cambodia, so we were out of school.  This year, the camp was in the north, east of Chiang Mai near the Myanmar border. The Watcharaporn congregation in Bangkok is the host of this camp every year and the congregations near the location of the camp assist.    Watcharaporn has a Bible training school like we have here.  Their staff and students (some of who are from Laos) did all the cooking and cleaning of the kitchen area and dishes.  There were 275 adults as well as children at this camp, so they worked hard and did a great job. Rich was the keynote speaker.  The theme of the camp was "Learning from the Past".  Rich taught 4 nights on the book of Ruth.  He emphasized a different person in the story of Ruth for the 1st 3 nights; Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz; and what we can learn from them to apply to...
