Scott Keele is here

Image
These are just a couple pictures of the ocean at Keb, the town we spent a couple days at XMastime. For you Broken Arrow people, Scott arrived safely Friday morning. This morning, he went with me to the market to buy some fruit and vegetables. He is going to be teaching all day so won't get a lot of time to see sights, but we hope he grows to love Phnom Penh and the people here as we do. Love to you all. Ronda

A new short khmer lesson

Image
I know I told you that the Khmer language is descriptive language. Today I learned another word...and for all you Aggie fans (of which I am one!), you will love this...the word for the "maroon" is, in khmer, the words for "color pig's blood". How is that for descriptive! Just a couple pictures of stuff we see everyday. It was been a nice 'winter' here, with the temperature getting down to the lower 70's. Well, nothing really to tell you...just wanted to touch base. We love you all. Ronda

Sweet girl

This sweet little girl waves at us almost every day when we walk to language school. She waves until we are out of sight. And she always has her 'pearls' on. Just wanted you to see her. She makes us smile. Much love, Ronda

Graduation!

Image
Graduation went great! We had a nice ceremony, with Tawn giving a charge as well as George Carmen. Then, of course, there was all the picture taking before we ate. I almost hate to see Sothea and Khim graduate, knowing that they will be leaving us. I know...that is what we train them to do, but I'll miss them at school. It's just like when our youth group kids went off to college - it's a good thing, but you still miss them. Please pray for Sothea and Khim to serve the Lord well. Know you are in our hearts. Ronda
