Dale Lundy and Doris Morrison

 Dale Lundy is here again.  He comes every year to help teach in the school and encourage the Christians here. This year he taught on Wisdom Literature - Job, Psalms, Proverbs, and Ecclesiates. We are grateful for his love of the Lord and his willingness to come and share God's Word to the people here.  Last Saturday was Doris Morrison's 75th birthday!!  Doris is a lady that has been in Cambodia for quite a few years now. She works with Sophy and their staff to run an English school for children. So Rich and I told her we wanted to take her to lunch and surprised her with a few extras.  Her staff came, along with 3 girls from Harding University that are teaching English at the BEST Center for a month.  We also had Dale Lundy, Dan and Ravy Wilson, and my sister, Julie.   (I accidentally cut one of the Harding girls out of the picture.  Oops! ) We will be heading stateside the night of June 18th, and do our normal touring around.  We hope to see a lot of yo

It's Royal Ploughing Day!!

Just a little fun fact for you...today is Royal Ploughing Day here in Cambodia. It is celebrated on the 4th day of the 6th lunar month's waning moon.  I expect you all to mark this on your calendars so you will know in the future!! Of course, our sweet students at the school (being students) informed Rich this morning at chapel that this is a Khmer holiday and so therefore they shouldn't have to study today.  He told them that if they were with their families farming in the villages, that they could have the day off.  But since they aren't farming currently... not going to happen.  So they are now studying Romans with Rich.  Ha! Royal Ploughing Day signifies the beginning of a new rice season.  It is the end of the hot dry season and the beginning of the rainy season.  At this time of year, the farmers are just waiting for the rain to start so that they can begin another year of crops.
