12th CBI Graduation

Saturday, September 14th was our 12th graduation, making a total of 32 graduates!
There were 4 graduates this time, although Linna still has a couple classes to finish.  She was allowed to participate and will be given her diploma once she has completed all the requirements.
I thought you might like to see one of the plates of chicken that I took.  I bought the grilled chickens whole and then chopped them up.
The reason that I thought you might enjoy it is because you can see the head and feet.  And yes, they eat all of it.  At the end of the night, I think only a couple feet were left.
Here are our graduates.  We have very few girls; it just happens that 3 ended at the same time.
The graduates are, from left to right:
Sraymom
Linna
Phally
Kakada

In another blog, I will give you information on their plans for the future.
And here they are with the faculty.  Veasna, on Rich's left, is on staff at CBI.  He has started teaching a few classes and translates for our American teachers.  He is also the husband of Linna, in the blue shirt.  Next to him is, of course, Rich, and then Dennis Welch.
As excited as we are that they are now equipped and ready to go out, we will miss getting to see them everyday at the school.
More details later.  Much love, Ronda
PS.  For those of you concerned about our safety with the government unrest, at this time, we are in no danger whatsoever.  All the problems are in the north part of the city.  There are roads barricaded off up there and the prime minister has blocked off roads coming into Phnom Penh to try to keep the number of protesters down.  The opposing party has worked really hard to try to keep things peaceful, but the prime minister is being heavy handed.  Just so you know, none of these protests (which included tens of thousands of people) have been reported on the TV or newspapers here.  The prime ministers controls the media inside the country so the only media coverage being shown are from foreign correspondents.
We live in the far south part of town, so we are going about our days like normal.  HOWEVER, for those of you who's birthdays are in October and are expecting a birthday postcard, the post office is in the north part of town in the middle of the mess, so I can't get to the post office right now.  They will be mailed as soon as I can make it there; right now, all of those roads are blocked off with barricades and razor wire.
