We had a wonderful stateside visit!

As most of you know, we made a trip to the US in the middle of June.
Our first stop was to Reuben and Emily's in Richmond, VA.  We were there for Rich's birthday as well as Father's Day.
Reuben had 3 days of meetings in the DC area.  So while he was in meetings, Emily, Rich and I took the Metro into DC and toured around.
I really think that after you have lived overseas, our beautiful American flag is even more precious.
I took this looking up at the Washington Monument.
It was our first time to go to Arlington Cemetery.  Thanked God that my dad and my son came back alive.  So grateful for the lives represented here.
In Houston, we got to meet with some friend.  The Bell clan as well as Scott and Abigail Sawyer and Guy Suffridge were all there!  Of course, our son Jason was also there.
We also managed to take in a Houston Astros game with Jason and Mallory.  The Astros won of course.
In the Dallas area, with Rebekah and Evan, we went to a FC Dallas game on the 4th of July.
I can't believe that I didn't get any pictures of Rebekah and Evan!

And, of course, FC Dallas won!  The fireworks were spectacular as well.
Also there, we met with some more sweet friends.  Brad Reynolds as well as Chris and Kelsey Clark had already left when we took this picture.  But here is Jim Wiginton, Bruce and Jalyn Baker, Kathryn Wiginton Reynolds, and Dianna Honea Love.  It was wonderful catching up!
Then we stopped in San Angelo, TX and met with some of our dear friends from our first youth ministry job.  The Sheros, Jana Taylor, the Guests,Stones(several families of them), Mckees, Baders, Gartmans and Gibsons were all there!  We only got to be there for one night, but we made it count!
Then we were on to Midland, TX to see Rich's family.  Rebekah went with us on this part of the trip.
After Midland, we drove to Collinsville, OK where Randall, Kassie and Kenley are living.  I can't believe that we were stateside for 3 weeks before seeing our sweet granddaughter!
As you can see, she is too cute!

And I didn't get a picture of Randall, Kassie and Kenley together.
We are going by the Khmer names for grandparents.  Rich is "Thaw" and I am "Yeah".
Rich got a kick out of trying to help Kenley drink from the water fountain!
Kenley loves her dog!  Here she is looking for Max outside.
I totally forgot to take any pictures at Batesville, AR so you could see some of our sweet brothers and sisters there.
And I didn't take any pictures at Broken Arrow, OK either.  Too busy talking and hugging, I guess.

It is so encouraging to us to get to see your sweet faces when we are back in the US.  We are so very appreciative of all the prayers your send up for us and the work here.  I hope you all know how much we love you.

We are back in Cambodia now.  David Burton is teaching at the school this week.  He preaches in Idalou, TX.  Then we have a break as we will be going to the Asian Mission Forum in the Philippians.

Much love, Ronda

Glad you had a great trip, and that you got back to Cambodia before it got too hot here! Oh...wait...that didn't really work, did it? Ha.

Praying for you all and Lord's work there,
James
