Eating out by the street

I thought you might enjoy seeing what we see out on the streets.

This picture is of a couple carts.  The closest one has all kinds of drinks - iced coffee, iced teas, milo, etc.  and all kinds of flavors.  This isn't the coffee cart that I usually use.  My iced coffee is excellent and cost me 50 cents a cup.  Can't beat that!   The people behind are having an afternoon snack off the cart.  They cook from the cart, and sometime have a small table with a few chairs that you can sit and eat.

This is one of the many chicken carts.  These are really good.  There is charcoal in the bottom of the carts.  These come out and park on the side of the street in the evening time and set up in front of other shops that close for the night.  The chicken is rotisseried (is that a word?).  And the chicken comes complete with head and feet.
This isn't a great picture, but these are other carts with pork as well as noodles.  Some of these carts are attached to motorcycles, so the food can cook while they are driving to the place they park.  Some are carts that they walk with.  These carts come out in the evenings as the noontimes are too hot to be standing out and cooking.
The cart on the left is fruit and the cart in the middle is fried chicken and then the one on the right is sweet type things.
These ladies are selling on the side of one of the main streets in the city, across from one of the hospitals.  Since hospitals provide no food here, family members must come and bring food to whoever is in the hospital.
This is a sidewalk further down the street.  During the day, it is just the sidewalk.  But in the evening, a couple carts some and unload all of the cooking things, tables, stools, etc. and cook right on the side of the road.
This particular places sells noodles as well as grilled fish and chicken.
This is the other end of the same sidewalk.  So here you can see the area for people to sit and eat.

I can't imagine setting all this up and taking it down every night, but that is how it works.

There are places like this all over the city.  The parking lot to one of the main markets becomes a big eating area with all different carts to choose from once the market closes at 4pm.

I hope you enjoyed seeing a bit of what we see.
Much love,
Ronda
