Update on Ronda's Situation

Guest blogger Rich here. Several of you have asked about Ronda. Here's where things are:
In early April, we decided it would be best for her to go back to the US during the CO-VID 19 time. If you remember, about a year and a half ago, she had surgery for breast cancer. During that time, they removed several of her lymph nodes. Because of that, there is an increased risk that a major infection or virus could be very dangerous for her. There are a couple of good hospitals here. But, the government had required all those who have the virus to go to one of 3 government run hospitals. The standard of care there is just not very good. One is named the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital. Think Soviet hospital and you've got a good feel.
She left Phnom Penh on April 6th, thinking she would be back in a month or so. A few weeks after she left, the government here put a ban on Americans and people from several European countries (but not China) entering Cambodia. Ronda would not be allowed back during that time.
About a week ago, the government here lifted the ban. BUT and it's a big but, there are several restrictions and hoops to jump through. You have to show proof of at least $50K in insurance coverage, which we have. You also have to have a negative CoronaVirus test within 72 hours of the time you land. Taking out 30 hours of travel time, that leaves a very small window of time. Ronda has been in the Dallas area and is still trying to find someone who will test her. Many of the places that test are limiting the tests to those who are sick and/or doctor approved. Ronda doesn't fit that. Another sticking point is that she has to know when she will get the test back in order to re-book her flights. Most places only say in 3-5 days for the test results. With a small time window to get back her, that makes it difficult. If you know anyone or anyway to help her get tested, it would be appreciated.
For now, she is going to see Jason in Houston and hope the restrictions ease up some here. There's much more to the story once she makes it into Cambodia, but I'll leave those details out for now. Ronda enjoyed about a month with Reuben and Emily (2 weeks of that in self-quarantine),
2-3 weeks with Randall and Kassie, about 2 weeks with Evan and Rebekah and she's now in Houston with Jason and Jessica. Here are a few pics from each stop.
