James Glasscock here; trip to Battambang province

First let me show you the CBI River, as Rich not-so-affectionately calls it.  This is the street in front of the school.  I am standing in front of the gate.  Believe it or not, it isn't as bad as it was, but this water still came up to my knees in the deepest place.  But we appreciate the rain.

James Glasscock is here teaching the book of Galatians for 3 weeks.  Last weekend, we took a trip to Battambang Province.  We went to Moung Russey village where 2 of our graduates, Sokun and Soklee, have been working for about 10 years now.

On Saturday, the kids had an English class.  The picture above is Rich teaching them English and the song "The Wise Man".

This is Rich preaching to that congregation on Sunday.

They have a good group that meets here.  They are all so very sweet to us.  We enjoyed getting to worship with them.  (I did notice that from my angle, you can't see the men of the congregation who are sitting up in the front and side.)

As we work with 2 congregations in Phnom Penh, we don't have many opportunities to worship with the churches in the villages.

While James has been teaching Galatians to most of the students, Rich has been teaching Sophanmai on the books of Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther.

This is just another funny site that we see around town a lot.  We don't have flashing barricades when the road crew fixes a pothole in the street.

They used little palm trees to notify drivers that the cement was wet.  I thought the trees was a really good idea.  Usually, it is just a stick sticking out of the concrete or from a pot.

We pray that you all are doing well.  We are so grateful to you all for allowing us to be here and work with these wonderful people.

Much love,

Ronda
