Ladies Night with Baby Shower and the beach

July 26th, we had another Ladies Night.  This one was especially fun because it included a baby shower.

Seyha (dad) and Kimlin (mom)'s baby was due soon, so we wanted to have a small shower for her. It was perfectly timed as their sweet baby boy was born the next day!!

She is now in the village with Seyha's family so that they can help her with the baby. (Her mom is not living.) And prayers were answered; Seyha has been out of  work for some time.  We found out tonight that he has a new job and starts tomorrow.  Thanks so much for God for His blessings.

This is the group of us.
We started the night by singing praises to God.

It is so sweet to hear them sing praise to the God that they didn't even know a few years ago.  Please keep them all in your prayers for strength and that their faith might grow strong in the Lord.

A week ago, a group from the Church of Christ in the Capitol, Phnom Penh (long name - I just say the Capitol Church of Christ) took a trip to the beach.

We met at 5:30 am and headed out of town.

Once arriving in Sihanoukville, we had a devotional together.

We played, at lunch together and just had a great time before coming back to Phnom Penh.

John Rice is here in Cambodia.  He comes Every year and does a series of chilcren's camps in several different places around the country.  On Wednesday, our students will go out to Thomnak Thom to help out with the camp there.

Rich is teaching Psalms at the school now to all of the students.  He will finish on Aug. 15th.  Then he will teach the older students on the book of Ezekiel while Khemrin teaches the others Christian Evidences #1.

The seniors in high school in Cambodia will take their Exit Exams soon.  Then, after they have their results, we should have several new students come to CBI.  Please pray that our current students and those who will be coming will have a heart for God and His Word.

As for my health, I had a doctor's visit July 21st.  My white blood counts are continuing to go up.  My organs have not been affected yet.  However, my doctor told me that I could start on targeted drugs (the first type of treatment) when I am "ready to feel better",  As with all medicine, these drugs have their side effects and, not knowing if or which ones I might get, I have decided to wait longer before starting.  I still have some days that I have no problems, so ... I'm waiting.  I appreciate all the prayers you have said on my behalf.  I really am doing ok.

Thank you for your love, prayers and support.  How we are blessed by all of you!!!!

Much love,

Ronda
