Sweet girl

This sweet little girl waves at us almost every day when we walk to language school. She waves until we are out of sight. And she always has her 'pearls' on.
Just wanted you to see her. She makes us smile.

Just got a sweet postcard in the mail...you win the prize for the 'farthest away' birthday wishes! Thank you so much! We are all doing great...Jaxson is in the 1st grade and is 7 1/2 and Cody is 3 1/2 (and acts just like his dad!!!!):) When Jaxson started school we felt a big pull to be more involved in our community and so we placed membership at the Downtown Bixby church of Christ last spring...it's been a huge blessing for our family but we do miss our friends from BA! David and I think about you often and know that you continue to be a big blessing to those around you just like you were when you were here! Thank you again for touching base with us...have a great 2009! Tamara Crull

 Our new students have been at the school for a few weeks now and are settling in.  Unfortunately, Gimhuot and our newest students went home.  Hong also is at home.  He was sick before he came and continued to be sick at CBI, so he has gone home for now but intended to return. Next week, on Tuesday, we will be going to our annual camp.  It will last until Friday.  It is a great time to be able to see Christians from all over Cambodia. We had a couple stay with us last week.  He is from South Africa and she is from the Philippines.  They have been married 2 years and are looking for a ministry place.  They are visiting Thailand, here, and Vietnam.  Their names are Simeon and Roseann.  Please pray that they will find the work that God has designed for them to do. Church camp; Alex and Kira Mills

 As is my custom it seems, I once again am behind on blogging.   In my last blog, I talked about Simeon and Roseann being our guests for a week. After they left, we headed for the 10th annual country-wide Church Camp.  This is a picture of our entire group. Our theme this year was "What every Christian should know about sex".   As the bulk of the Christians in Cambodia are between 18-30, and as most are new Christians, this topic was selected as it is important for them to understand what the Bible teaches.  Steve Holladay came to be the keynote speaker.  His son, Griffin, as well as Robert Ables and Kyle Gilmore, from Whites Ferry Road in West Monroe, LA, also came.  We enjoyed being able to meet them and visit with them for a few days.   Honestly, I was a little concerned about the topic, especially with a speaker from the US, since the culture and the background of the people here is quite a bit different.  But Steve did a g...

NEW STUDENTS!!

 The last blog I wrote about our new students, but now we have more!!!  In fact, if we weren't full, we could have several more.  Wondering where all these kids are going to sleep is a great problem to have! Rich took their pictures, so I will share them with you.  Please keep all of them in your prayers.   Like I said, I mentioned some of them in the last blog.  Seyha - he is from Battambang. He is 19 years old.  His older sister and brother are graduates from CBI.  His family worships in the village of Romchek in the church that 2 of our graduates, Sokun and Soklee, started there. Neera - (I am going to give you my phonetic spelling of their names instead of how they spell their names in English letters.  I almost always say their names wrong if I go by their Enligh spelling.)
