Rebekah and Evan are here!!!

To catch you up on the school first, Rich finished teaching the book of John and is now teaching on the Christian Family.  The students are also studying the Parables of Jesus with Veasna.

Rebekah, our daughter, and Evan, our son-in-law, are here visiting for a couple weeks.  We were so excited that they were able to come!  I think Rebekah has eaten all the foods that she wanted to make sure to eat again and seen most of the places.
Last weekend, we were able to go to Sihanoukville on the coast.  These pictures are from our boat trip out to
some islands.
The water out at the island is beautiful.  Pictures never do them justice.  But, while we were on the 2nd island, we were told that we would have to skip the 3rd one because the storm was moving in.  So within a few minutes, the scenery went from the 1st picture to the 2nd one.
Due to the boat driver having to make an extra trip to take a couple to another island, then waiting on 4 people who weren't paying attention and didn't notice that all the boats were leaving (and the boat engine was running while we waited), and since
they took an angle trying to get around the worst part of the rain, as we were on the way in, the driver told his crewmate that we were nearly out of gas.  Since most of the other people on the boat didn't speak Khmer, they never knew, but we did.  Anyway, the storm really got with it then and we made a B-line for the coastline.  We ended up coasting in and making it.
This picture of Rebekah and Evan was taken after they got water dumped on them from the overhead tarp.  Pretty funny!!

Because we were impatient I guess, we decided to walk up the coastline to the point where we took the boat from. What we were told was about 1 km ended up being quite a bit longer.
So, this is Rebekah, Evan and Rich in the new car/tuk tuks, which was our ride back to the north end of the coast and our hotel.
Evan said that he was up for an adventure when we talked about the boat ride, and he got it.  It really was fun.
Rebekah and Evan have also been helping me teach English to our students at the school at 4pm everyday.  Of course, the kids would much rather talk to them than the old lady!!

Rebekah and Evan leave on Saturday.  We are sorry that the time went so fast, but so thrilled that they got to come and spend some time with us here.
So, who is next to come visit??  It should be you!
Much love,
Ronda
