Days 2 and 3 of Evangelism

Continuing from the last blog...
On Day 2, Rich took half of the students and went to Korsang Peam. At the gathering in the afternoon, they had 8 adults and LOTS of kids (per Rich).
I went to Sen Sok, which is a congregation in Phnom Penh but out toward the airport. There, Doris Morrison along with Cambodian staff runs an English school for children. So here, our students went out but for the most part in the afternoons, we had the kids that normally attend classes there. At this time, 2 of our graduates spend a couple days a week going around this area talking and studying with the people in this area.

Day 3 - Rich went to Preytachey. In this place, they just went house to house visiting with the people there. During this time of the year, in this area, they are wrapping up their harvest. So, it is difficult for the adults to take time off and come meet for a couple hours in the afternoons.
I went to Krangdong. This is the place that one of our first graduates and his family are. We had about 25 kids, but again, they are finishing up harvest and getting ready for a village wide celebration the next day, to celebrate the harvest, so the adults were all busy.
I did manage to talk with one woman while she was making sugar from sugar palm trees. Very good! And Sraynee, Sothea's wife (he is our graduate) gave me some sugar squares that they had just made. Very good! Kind of like eating fudge, without the chocolate taste, or maybe similar to brown sugar, if it was cubed.

We had good responses and the people are very willing to talk to us. Please continue to pray for the work here and the sweet hearts of these people.

Much love,
Ronda
