Preaum's baptism

These first 2 pictures are of Preaum.  He is one of our new students.  He has studied with the other students and last Sunday was
baptized.  Please keep him in your prayers; that he will be a strong and faithful Christian.
This past week, Rich and Dennis split up the students and took them to different villages each day to teach.  As I have told you in the past, they usually talk to adults and children in the mornings and then after lunch, have a gathering.  This is adjusted to fit the needs of the people (harvest or planting time, etc).  A couple of these places are places that our students are working to start a congregation and another place is a new village with no church.
Today, Friday, February 1st starts the final mourning time and burial of the former king of Cambodia that died mid October.  So today through Monday,
Feb. 4th, much of the roads in the city are blocked off and there are expected to be a lot of extra people in the city to pay their respects and watch the processional of the body from where he has been since his death, to his pyre.  There is to be no celebrating of any kind during these day.  So, if you had planned your wedding during these days (and this is a popular time since it is cool season and not raining), you have to change it.
A lot of people now living in Phnom Penh, are taking this time to go home to their villages.  Driving around town on Thursday was crazy - everyone was out doing what they needed to do before this time.

My parents, Loren and Penny Hollingsworth, get in tonight from Bangkok, Thailand at 10:35 pm.  We are excited to get to spend some time with them and are also excited for our students to get the benefit of Dad's teaching.  He will be teaching Galatians.

On a totally separate note, this picture is of Rebekah.  We call her Rebekah #2 since our Rebekah is #1.  She is Channy and Ki's oldest daughter.  I took this picture to send to our Rebekah to show her how much she has grown.  Anyway, I thought it was a cute picture and wanted to share it with you.  It is her dad, Channy, in the picture with her.

Much love, Ronda
