Full end of August and start of September

As every month, we had a Ladies Night hosted by the Capital Church of Christ.  We eat together, listen to one of our sisters share a short message and then we play a game.

Your donations to the Dolan Fund at the BA Church of Christ makes this possible.

This is my class of ladies at the Capital Church of Christ.  I taught 2 lessons on Philippians in September.
Princeton Palmer from the Sunset International Bible Institute finally (due to the Covid years) got to make it for a visit.  He oversees all the Sunset school in Southeast Asia.  We have talked to him on the computer, but this was the first time we have met.  We had a really nice couple days with Princeton and look forward to his next visit.
Rich took the picture, so these are our students with myself and Khemrin on the left side and Princeton on the right.

Rich finished teaching Greek to our older students.  He also finished teaching 3 of our older students the book of Revelation.
Today, he started teaching Christian Ethics to our newer students.  Khemrin is teaching I, II Timothy and Titus to our older students.
At the Capital congregation, Rich started the series on Romans that we will be studying.  Khemrin preached the next week and Dara last week.

Monday and Tuesday, September 25th and 26th, we had Graduates Meetings.  This first picture is most of the graduates that we got to see.  It is always great to have them come.

The topic for this meeting was the seven 'I AM' statements of Jesus in the book of John.

This is the graduates and our students together.  Because of many of you, these sweet souls know Jesus.  They have had the opportunity to come study and learn.  And that wouldn't have happened without you.
I wish you could have heard them teach.

They all talked about how much CBI means to them.  They commented on how being able to come and study and learn about God and His Word totally changed their lives.

One of our graduates told our students that as they now know Jesus, they are more blessed than 90% of the people in Cambodia.
To hear the impact that the school has had on their lives and then for them to encourage our current students was wonderful.

A couple of them showed me pictures of the congregations in their villages.  All these people know God because of your love for them.  I wish I would have thought to get a copy of the pictures.

I really want you to know that although you are far away and may think what you do is a small thing, it changes lives because God's Word changes lives.  We just get to be the blessed ones to watch it happen.

I also wanted to mention that Sokun told me that the father of 2 of our students, who was a denominational preacher, is now worshipping with their congregation as well as the entire family!!

Monday, I will start teaching 2 of our girls the books of I and II Peter.

October 11th, we have a school break for the Pchum Bunh Holiday.  I have mentioned before that it is about equivalent to our Christmas holiday.  It is a time of family getting together.  However, it is a Buddhist holiday.  Please pray for our students that they can stand strong and be beautiful examples of Christ to their families.

The week of October 16 is the Thai Winter Camp (use the word 'winter' loosely.)  We will be flying to Chiang Mai for that.  Rich is the keynote speaker.  The theme is "Learn from the Past".  He will be teaching on Ruth.

Prayer requests:
our students - that their faith might grow and that they stand strong in the Lord.  Also, please pray as 11 of them will be finishing up and have to make employment decisions.
our graduate preachers - that they will be faithful, work hard, and continue to glorify God in that work
our trip to Thailand - pray that the camp will be a blessing to all who attend.
all of our teaching - may we be faithful workers for the Lord and be diligent to speak His Words.

Much love,
Ronda
