Graduation!

Last Saturday evening, we had a graduation for 11 of our students.  We pray that on top of putting the knowledge of God in their minds, that they keep God in their hearts.  We are excited for this group as they start another phase of their lives.  But we are also sad that we won't get to be a part of their lives everyday.

Please keep them in your prayers as they start jobs and make life decision.  So that you can put a face with who your a praying for, here are pictures of each them.

This is Somnang.

Soklee, a graduate of CBI in 2011, brought our talk for the evening.  He is from Battambang Province where 7 of our graduation are from.

He did a great talk about the important things to carry with them.  His points were:

1.  Continue to read and study your Bible.

2.  Continue to worship God with the church every week.

3.  Tell others about Jesus.  Tell others that you are a Christian and don't be ashamed.

This is a picture of the audience.  There were about 100 people there.

We really had a wonderful graduation.  I hope you can see the impact you are having on these lives.  This is God's work that could not be done without all of you.  Thank you so very much for letting us be your feet on the ground here.

On Sunday, Jan. 21, the congregation in the village in Battambang Province that Soklee, our speaker for graduation, and Sokun work in, had 9 baptisms!  In this picture, it is the front row of people.

Sokun and Soklee work very hard to be a part of their community and touch the lives of people of all ages.  They have many classes for children at their place.  They are known for being people who care about their community.  Please keep these new Christians in your prayers.
On Saturday, Jan. 27th, we had our monthly Ladies Evenings.

We eat together, have a devotional together and then play games.  They have done a really great job of getting different Ladies to speak during the devotional times.  And, again, this is part of the work you do as we supply the funds for this to be able to take place.
It is a blessing to get to watch these Ladies grow in their faith and be able to teach others.

As you can see, the closing of January was rich in blessings.

Yesterday my parents, Loren and Penny Hollingsworth, arrived in Phnom Penh.  They will be here for a month.  Dad will begin teaching I Thessalonians on Monday.  They are wonderful examples of godly lives.  Dad is 87 years old and Mom will be 86 next month.  They have been in Thailand for 3 months with Dad teaching each day and preaching on the weekends.  They will go back to Thailand when leaving here for 3 weeks to finish teaching in Chiang Mai before returning to Alaska.  I am so grateful to have them as parents and examples for my life.

Much love to you all!
Rich and Ronda
