Church Camp in Thailand

We were blessed to be able to go to Church camp in Thailand again.  They asked Rich to teach as couple classes at camp, as well as preach and teach class at the Soi Somprasong congregation in Bangkok Sunday, the 12th.

This is Nung, Rich's translator, and Rich during the sermon on Sunday.
The church camp in Thailand is for Christians of all ages.  There were about 500 people there this year.  This is one area of tents.  There is another area on the other side of the camp.
It is always great to get to hug on all the sweet Christian brothers and sisters there.
The asked Rich to teach 2 classes on raising Spiritual Families.  He taught all the adults.  Nung was his translator at camp as well, and he did a great job!
After Rich's first 2 classes, they asked Rich if he would do another class during free time the next day because they wanted to hear more.  So he taught for another hour and a half the next day.
In the morning an evenings, everyone is together for 2 speakers each time.  The singing is fantastic!!  The guy in the red shirt is signing for the deaf brethren.
Again, it is always wonderful to get to be with the Thais again.
One man came up to me and said that he lived in our compound at the first house we lived at when we got to Thailand...I was 12 years old and he was 4 years old!  It's been a few years!
This is the view from the camp.  It is right on the beach and it wonderful!
 Another evening service.

Sopoan is the man with his back to the camera.  He has to use crutches or a wheelchair, but he is a powerful preacher of God's Word!  I have known him since I was a kid living in Thailand and he holds a special place in my heart, along with his wife and family.  They just adopted the newborn son of his brother.  The baby, David, was born on the same day that the baby's father died, so they said the baby was evil.  Sopoan and his wife gladly took the baby; and I know they will teach him to be a man after God's heart, like David in the Bible.

This is a couple girls from Bangkok that I got to spend some time with and get to know better.  They have sweet hearts and a strong desire to serve God.  It was really nice to get to visit with them.
This is a group of the young guys, along with one of the girls, and Lek (in front, green shirt).  These are wonderful Christian young men.  Lek worked for Dad in Phuket for years.

This is Juk and his oldest child, and Sak and Tdai.  Juk and Sak are preachers.  They both were in Southern Thailand, but Sak and his wife, Tdai have returned home to Chiang Mai and he is preaching there.

Heaven will be so much fun when we can meet all our brothers and sisters from all over the world.  I wish all of you could know these people!

Truly a rich blessing for us to get to spend 3 days with them.

Now we are back home.  Rich is teaching Romans to our students.  Dale Lundy is here now and he is teaching Wisdom Literature.

Much love,
Ronda
