7 of our students

This top picture is of our 3 newest students.  And, amazingly enough, they all have the same name...Vanna.  So we call them Vanna #1, Vanna #2 and Vanna #3.
Vanna #1 is the one in the middle; he got to the school a few weeks before the other two.  He is the 2nd of 4 kids and is from Takeo province.  He is a very good student; one of those who thinks and absorbs.
Vanna #2 is on the right.  He is the 4th of 5 kids in his family and from a province near Phnom Penh.  He is friends with another one of our students, and that is how he came to the school.
Vanna #3 is in the blue shirt.  We knew him before, as he came to the University congregation a few times.  We are glad he is back.  He was baptized on June 20th of this year.  He is the youngest of 4 kids in his family and from SreyReung Province.  It is funny how these 3 have just banded together.  For example, Rich has a deal that if they forget to put their name on their quiz paper, they have to get up and sing.  Vanna #2 forgot.  Before he could even start to sing, the other 2 came up and helped him!
These are 4 more of our students.  Piset in the blue, then Chauet, Hona and Kakada.  Chauet just finished his last class at the school.  He is planning to go to an area where one of our members has started a rubber tree area and live there and try to evangelize this area, as there is currently no church there.
Hona, actually just left the school this week.  We are not sure why other than he had to go home.  Unfortunately, I don't have the details on these.  They are all in their 20s.  They are lively and fun; always smiling.  Particularly now, they are glad to be done with Rich's Greek class!  Piset told me that he couldn't do Greek because he was trying to learn English and this was just confusing him!  Ha!  I told him that right now, studying Greek was more important.
We are now in Pchum Bunh week.  It is a Buddhist holiday where everyone goes back to their village and offers gift to their dead ancestors.  It includes cooking lots of food, burning incense, burning fake paper money and strips of material, believing that this is sent to their ancestors and then, in return, their ancestors will bless their lives.  The city is quite, since most people are gone.  Really kind of nice.
During this week, the graduates have decided to meet with Rich Tuesday through Saturday and study all day on the subjects of Christian Family Living and Greek (I posted about this already).  Originally, they were going to study one weekend a month for several months.  But this way, they can get it all finished this week.  So, Rich only got Monday off.
Keep all these sweet souls in your prayers.
Much love, Ronda
