Starting off the New Year with a bang!

The Siem Reap congregation had a New Years Party and invited all of us in Phnom Penh to come as well as the church in Battambang.

This is our students who went with us.  We went a day early so that they could go to Angkor Wat (which is free to them, but most had never been).  Here we are walking around by downtown.
This is the group at the church building in Siem Reap.  Everyone had a great time.  There was singing, teaching, playing and fellowshipping.
I wanted to put in this sign that is here in Phnom Penh.  I guarantee that the Khmer doesn't say the same thing as the English does!
On January 5th, Jerry Lundy from Broken Arrow arrived.  I think this is his 4th trip.

We had Graduates Meetings on the 6th and 7th and Jerry taught 6 lessons based on the topic of "A Prophet is Without Honor" from Mark 6:1-6.

This first picture is Jerry preaching last Sunday morning at the  Phnom Penh congregation.  James is translating.  Jerry also preached at the University congregation with Dara translating.
These are pictures of the Graduates Meetings.  Veasna translated for Jerry during these 2 days.

Once the Graduates Meetings were over, Jerry has been teaching our newer students an New Testament Survey class.  Khemrin has been translating for these classes. Rich is teaching the older students the book of Jeremiah.

We are grateful that Jerry is willing to come and teach.  Thanks, too, Lorey, for being supportive of him coming.

He will be leaving on Friday, the 17th.

After Jerry leaves, Rich will finish the class with the new in the mornings that he started before Jerry came on Old Testament Survey.  He will teach this in the mornings and then continue teaching Jeremiah to the older students in the afternoons.

Please keep our students in your prayers as they grown in their knowledge of God's Word as well as grow in their faith.  Much love, Ronda
