Four converted in the north

The schools let out 2 weeks early here because of a strain of hand, foot, and mouth disease.  When we first got a message from the embassy on it, there were 59 confirmed cases and 52 deaths.  So, the powers that be decided to start the summer vacation 2 weeks early.  The disease affected mostly children from age 2-13.  Since this is a community based country, and there is so much interaction between families, the virus moved quickly.  It seems as if it is calmed down now and we are grateful that no one that we know were touched by this.
A few weeks ago, one of the village in the northern part of the country by Siem Reap had 4 baptisms.  Sochea, who is Tawn's youngest brother, is the preacher there.  (For those of you who don't know or don't remember, Tawn was Rich's coworker at the school and died a year and a half ago)  Sochea was in our school for the first year that we were here and his wife, Pisay, is one of our graduates.   We are very excited about the work that they are doing in the village there.
The first 2 picture are pictures of the clouds that I took as we travelled to Siem Reap.  Since it is rainy season here, we get wonderful clouds and storms.  The last one is of Angkor Wat in Siem Reap.  Rich and I along with Julie, my sister, took Sierra and Asia, my nieces and Anna and Mary Blair, 2 ladies from California that were here teaching at the BEST Center.

Love to you all!
Ronda
